Meet Our Nicholasville, KY, Based Attorneys

Bruce E. Smith

Bruce E. Smith is the Owner and Manager of Bruce E. Smith Law Offices, PLLC. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1974. Upon graduation, Bruce opened his practice in Nicholasville and began serving the legal needs of Central Kentucky. His practice includes planning and zoning issues, real estate, civil litigation, wills, estates, probate, and commercial law. Bruce is admitted to practice in Kentucky state and federal courts.

Henry E. Smith

Henry E. Smith joined Bruce E. Smith Law Offices, PLLC in 2013, where he practices with emphasis on planning and zoning, utilities law, and a general civil practice. He counts it a privilege rendering counsel to two counties’ planning and zoning bodies. He has also represented applicants and opponents litigating planning and zoning issues across multiple counties and in the Court of Appeals. Henry was honored with selection as a Kentucky Super Lawyer® Rising Star for 2019 – 2022 in the Area of Land Use and Zoning, and he has presented educational courses on the topic. He is a 2012 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, and he clerked in the Fayette Circuit Court with Judge Thomas L. Clark after graduation.


Henry completed undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, earning a Bachelor’s, cum laude, in Music and International Studies.


Outside of the Office, he is active in his church home at Christ Church Cathedral; he has his hands full helping his wife, Paige, raise their two small children; and he finds time to run and pursue his passion for instrumental and vocal music.


Henry’s Practice Areas include planning and zoning; utilities law; civil defense work, representing County agencies and officials; probate administration; contractual issues; and a general civil practice.

Faith C. E. Grosz, CKP

Law Office Manager & Paralegal

Faith joined the firm in July of 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Child Development and Family Relations at South Dakota State University in 1990. She and her husband Dave and their three children moved from Iowa to Kentucky in 2005. Faith is a Certified Kentucky Paralegal and is a member of the Kentucky Paralegal Association. She has found that her past occupations, including social services and managing her own businesses, have prepared her well for this position, especially in serving others and keeping things organized. This role allows her to support the attorneys and clients through receiving and directing phone calls, welcoming clients for office visits, being the first point of contact for many new clients, drafting and proofreading legal documents, and following up with clients. Faith also manages the accounting and client billing duties in the firm.
